Tell Me What To Do!!!

4 01 2009

I need help, guys! I got 360 days to go, and I need more ideas for movies! Could I figure this out myself? Possibly. Would that be much fun? No! So post any of your suggestions for stuff you want me to see here on this comment thread. I would really appreciate it. Thanks, everyone!!!

Alright I’ve got some suggestions:

I thought you hated Pootie Tang! You almost left me when I started saying “SEPATOWN!” and “MAIN DAMIE!”

I do hate it. It should be a PSA. People need to know to stay away from filth like that. Movies that bad cause cancer. And herpes. And cancerous herpes.

Hey! Hey! Have you checked out L.A.M.B. (large association of movie blogs)? I submitted my information to them just this morning, so I’m not currently listed, but hope to be soon. Click the ‘join’ button, and it will tell you what information they want sent along with a screenshot. It seems like a good way to get extra exposure for the blog.

I have not! But thank you for the info! I’ll be sure to check that out ASAP! I need all the exposure I can get!

Well… I’ve recommended The Shawshank Redemption, which to my dismay, you failed to enjoy…. We can respectfully disagree…
Also, I’ve recommended Amadeus, which I’m sure you’ll find something, hopefully lots of things in that that you find suitable to your pallet.
And one more…. Before you finish up with your 365 days of movies, you must must must check out Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Charlie Kaufman and Michel Gaundry’s exquisite brain child. I actually recommended this one to the 366 weird movies website. So *raises glass of fine ale* here’s to killing two birds with one stone!

Glad to see you on the site, pal! I’m going through with your recommendations one by one! Next week I will definitely have a review up on Eternal Sunshine! Thanks for the recommendations! I still need more movies all the time, so thank you for the advice!

If you still need ideas this late in the game, here’s what I would do: I’d treat myself to some truly good films. I’d go to IMDB’s top 250 and pick the highest rated movies that I’ve never seen, and rent those.

Now, this method isn’t foolproof. If you’d tried it a few months ago, you would have been stuck with SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION. But who knows, you might get lucky and get to see THE GODFATHER II or THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY or THE SEVEN SAMURAI. I say go for it!
